Quoting/Estimating, Shop Floor Control, and Scheduling

SOS® allows the user to create an estimate template, turn the estimate into a quote with multiple quantities, fax a quote letter and generate a barcoded job ticket with detailed instructions and delivery dates from within a single software module.  Scheduling information is also generated when the quote becomes an order. 

Order Entry

SOS® allows your shop to generate orders from existing inventory (finished parts), quotes, or from scratch.  You can retrieve the job variance immediately at any stage of the job, even if you've not entered labor or bills of material.  Generate packing slips, invoices, shipping labels (including specialty barcoded labels) and certificates of compliance.

Shop Floor Data Collection

SOS® can provide virtually error-free data-collection, a necessary ingredient for ISO compliance.  This is made possible by the use of a barcoded process sheet (router) and extensive error-checking.  Shop status and job cost information are updated in real-time, as events happen on the shop floor.  Data collection provides the foundation for real-time reporting.

Job Costing

The SOS® Job Cost module allows your shop to collect costs on labor, material, and contracted services and apply them directly to jobs.  Material and contracted services can be input through the Purchase Order module and applied to the job.  SOS® will cost-out your labor at a work center, labor, or combination rate.  A variance report will compare estimated to actual costs every step of the way. 

Inventory Control

SOS® provides a complete raw and finished parts inventory.  Finished parts can be used to provide a bill of materials and labor operations for future orders and estimates.  The Inventory Module is fully-integrated with Shop Control, Purchasing, Job Cost and Estimating.  Inventory can also be used in stand-alone mode.

Shop Floor Reporting 

SOS® reporting gives your staff a snapshot of the entire production floor.  You can view every job and its status withough leaving your desk.  Report by Keyword, Employee, Job, Work Center, and more.
